“The Cost-Benefit Analysis of Pseudoephedrine Drug Laws in Indiana,” an analysis by Ball State University’s Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER), The objective of this study is to evaluate the impact of making a prescription necessary for consumers to purchase cold and allergy medicines that contain PSE, including estimating Medicaid spending, cost to households, loss in sales tax revenues to the state government, and productivity loss to the employers in Indiana using both models of historical data and simulation.
