Two arrested in Long Grove methamphetamine bust

A Long Grove man and woman were arrested Friday after officers discovered three one-pot methamphetamine labs, methamphetamine-making materials and paraphernalia, and a shotgun in their home.
Garry Wayne Behrens II, 38, is charged with methamphetamine manufacturing, a Class B felony; possession of pseudoephedrine, lithium, ammonia nitrate, and sodium hydroxide; and being a felon in possession of a weapon, all Class D felonies.
Jennifer Lee Jasper, 37, is charged with methamphetamine manufacturing and possession of pseudoephedrine, lithium, ammonia nitrate, and sodium hydroxide.
About 10:15 a.m. Friday, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit, sheriff’s deputies, Quad-Cities Federal Gang Task Force, Quad-Cities Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Group, and the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement executed a search warrant at Behrens’ and Jasper’s home at 31101 145th Avenue in rural Long Grove.
According to arrest affidavits, police found three separate one-pot methamphetamine labs containing more than five grams of methamphetamine “sludge;” methamphetamine precursors; and a single shot 20-gauge shotgun.
