Lisle man spent 4 years shopping for meth ingredient, feds say

Over the course of four years, on dozens of occasions, a Lisle man made rounds at drug stores across Broome County to buy pseudoephedrine pills. His goal, prosecutors say, was to use those pills to make meth.
Corey R. Mangan, 30, was among 16 defendants indicted on federal charges in November after a sweeping investigation by police into methamphetamine production taking place in the Southern Tier. On Thursday, Mangan pleaded guilty in Binghamton’s federal courthouse to a felony charge of possession and attempted possession of a listed chemical knowing it will be used to manufacture a controlled substance.
