Tracking system to fight meth is paying off

Missouri Rep. Kurt Bahr’s office has announced news that should encourage all Missourians — especially those in the law enforcement community. The partnership between police and retailers to fight those who seek to spread methamphetamine into our communities is paying off.
Rep. Bahr, R-O’Fallon, recently disclosed that the National Precursor Log Exchange system — which tracks sales of pseudoephedrine medicines and stops unlawful purchases — blocked 23,000 boxes of these drugs from being sold in Missouri. That translates to nearly 60,000 grams.
