3 Morgan Residents Accused Of Making Meth In Lawrence
Lawrence County officers arrested three Morgan County residents for multiple drug charges on Wednesday, Sheriff Gene Mitchell said.
Lisa Rena Schrimsher, 33, of 3986 County Road 316, Trinity, was arrested after Drug Task Force agents learned that Schrimsher purchased suspicious quantities of pseudoephedrine from several different Decatur pharmacies. Agents believed Schrimsher was manufacturing methamphetamine in Lawrence County.
When deputies went to her residence, they discovered ingredients needed to cook meth lying on the living room floor.
Agents said they found Christopher Dale Smith, 28, of 1400 Brownstone Ave. SW, Decatur, hiding in a bedroom closet. Mitchell said Smith claimed he was hiding from agents due to having outstanding traffic warrants and did not know what was occurring inside the residence. Christina Ann Hogan, 31, of 1406 Cedar St., Decatur, also was arrested at the residence.
Schrimsher, Hogan and Smith were charged with unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance and felony possession of drug paraphernalia. They were booked into Lawrence County Jail, and bail had not been set Friday.
