Police Tout Benefits Of System That Tracks Drugs Used By Meth-Makers

The best thing about a national logging system of the drug used to make methamphetamine is that it saves police officers time and it prevents offenders from buying pseudoephedrine from pharmacies, says a Louisiana detective who relies on it.
Since June 1, 2010, Illinois pharmacies have reported pseudoephedrine sales to the National Precursor Log Exchange, also known as the NPLEx system.
