‘N-Plex’ System Aims To Fight Meth Production

COLLINSVILLE, Ill. – Metro East law enforcement agencies are in Collinsville to learn more about a monitoring system used to fight meth production called N-Plex.
Pharmacists have been required to use the system in Illinois since 2010. It system keeps tabs on who is buying the meth-making ingredient pseudoephedrine in Illinois pharmacies. Pharmacists can use the system to communicate with one another about customers who attempt to buy more pseudoephedrine than state and federal laws allow.
Police can also use the system to help their investigations.
