Number Of Oklahoma Meth Labs Continue To Drop

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Pharmacists Association (OPhA) has highlighted the latest data noting the ongoing success achieved by Oklahoma law enforcement and elected officials in the effort to address methamphetamine production in the state.

Newly released data from the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) shows a more than a 50 percent decline in meth lab incidents in Oklahoma in 2014. Oklahoma law enforcement officials seized 160 meth labs from January through September, 2014.The seizures are on pace to be roughly half of last year’s number, the Associated Press reported.

These findings represent the second year in which meth lab incidents have dropped by half since Governor Mary Fallin signed a major anti-meth initiative bill into law.
