Deputies Arrest Man On 7 Felony Charges

Montgomery County deputies arrested a Marshall man early Thursday morning on a warrant for seven drug-related felony charges.

Christopher J. Murphy, 27, faces two D felony charges of possession of a precursor by a methamphetamine offender, in addition to five level 6 felony charges of possession of a precursor. He is being held at the Montgomery County Jail on a $40,000 surety/cash bond.

An arrest warrant was issued for Murphy on Nov. 10, 2014, through Montgomery Superior Court I, following an investigation by Indiana State Police Trooper Clayton Gum.

Gum’s investiagtion started Oct. 28, 2014, when the National Precursor Log Exchange informed him Murphy allegedly purchased 1.92 grams of Sudafed Sinus and Pain 12 hour at the Crawfordsville Walgreens.
