Letter to the editor: New front in the meth war

I learned two things reading a recent Associated Press story about meth. First, meth lab seizures in Oklahoma are down about 50 percent in 2014. Second, according to Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics spokesman Mark Woodward, meth use remains significant in many parts of the state. This is because of meth from Mexico.

Oklahoma, as with the rest of the country, has seen a very dramatic decline in meth labs in recent years. In the case of our state, this was the result of some very tough but smart laws that were enacted to fight the illegal purchase of pseudoephedrine.
