Deputies: 4,100 Grams Of Meth Netted In Year’s Largest Bust In Greenwood Co.

GREENWOOD, SC (FOX Carolina) –

Greenwood County deputies seized more than 4,000 grams of methamphetamine in a bust they are calling the county’s biggest of the year.

On Monday, deputies arrived at a home on the 4,900 block of Old Laurens Road to serve conspiracy warrants for the suspect, according to Investigator Brandon Strickland.

Strickland said the warrant was issued because the man bought too much pseudoephedrine.

Deputies made contact with the suspect and he gave consent to search the home, according to Strickland.

Inside they found 4,167 grams of meth and 25 "shake-and-bake" meth labs in an outbuilding, said Strickland.

He said it was the biggest meth lab bust in Greenwood for the year.
